TrafficGauge® Provides a Suite of Tools for Making
the Upcoming I-5 Closure Easier to Navigate (DOC)

SEATTLEAugust 6, 2007 — TrafficGauge, the company that launched the first Òmobile traffic mapÓ in the U.S., announces a comprehensive suite of tools to make getting around the foreseeable traffic nightmare in the Seattle region a bit better. TrafficGauge is making available its consumer-tested traffic information for free to users on cell phones and PCÕs during and after the I-5 closure scheduled for August 10 - 29. And the TrafficGauge dedicated handheld device provides relief as well by educating drivers on better routes- help the WSDOT confirms will be needed during the Òmassive gridlockÓ that will occur if 50% of drivers do not find alternatives.

What do consumers see? The TrafficGauge map, seen on the handheld device as well as the cell phones and PC, gives drivers a birds-eye view of the major highways and bridges from Everett to Tacoma, the Canadian border crossing backups, and mountain pass delay information. TrafficGauge's maps are amazingly simple yet provide very reliable traffic flow information displayed on a fixed grid map of Seattle's freeway/highway systems. The information is frequently updated and provides an accurate, real-time snapshot of current traffic conditions. Anyone can benefit from TrafficGauge's free service during this challenging commuting time. All tools and products are available at TrafficGauge's website. Visit www.trafficgauge.com to get links to download services.

Many commuters, businesses and agencies have already purchased additional TrafficGauge handheld devices in anticipation of the backups, which are predicted to stretch from downtown Seattle to Tacoma. One such agency is King County's Medic 1, an agency that relies on the best and most accurate traffic information to quickly bring trauma patients to Harborview Hospital. They will be putting TrafficGauge devices in their paramedic units to give drivers that extra added advantage of negotiating around the traffic congestion and getting patients to the hospital as quickly as possible.

CarToys will be participating in distributing the handheld device that is normally $79.95 for free with the purchase of one year of service at all CarToys locations.

Don Rothenstein, CarToys Director of Mobile Electronics and long-time TrafficGauge user says, "In an instant I know the traffic picture for the entire Seattle area. I can then make decisions as to how to avoid problem spots, or at the very least, have a realistic view of what my travel time will be. "

TrafficGauge offers its PC and cellular phone applications for free on its website. There are many tools to fit any users computing or cellular needs. The company's product line-up includes the TrafficGauge handheld device as well as free download services including TrafficGauge for PC, TrafficGauge for iPhone(tm) and the TrafficGauge Widget Suite (for Mac, Vista Sidebar, iGoogle and Yahoo).
